乳酸菌の酵素を用いて、粘膜ワクチンの効果を高める多糖の合成に成功

石川県立大学 松﨑千秋講師らは、乳酸菌由来の酵素を用いて、粘膜ワクチンの効果を高める免疫増強剤（アジュバント）として働く多糖の合成に成功しました。また、その活性に重要な構造を明らかにしました。粘膜ワクチンは、様々な病原体の侵入部位である粘膜面において働くため、従来の注射によるワクチン接種と比べ、すぐれた感染防御効果が期待できます。本研究成果により、粘膜ワクチンの開発がさらに進むことが期待されます。石川県立大学（中島由香里研究員、東村泰希准教授）、医薬基盤・健康・栄養研究所ワクチン・アジュバント研究センター、Noster株式会社、和歌山大学、滋賀大学、東海大学と共同で行われました。
