　西澤直子学長が、2021年の世界で最も影響力のある研究者、すなわち過去10年間で最も多く論文を引用された研究者（Highly Cited Researchers 2021）に選ばれました。これは、クラリベイト社が、毎年、Web of Science™の分野別・年度別の被引用数で上位1％に入るような論文を複数発表した研究者から選ぶものです。国際的に優れた研究を行っていること、また、その大きな影響力が認められたことを示します。2021年は、21の研究分野にまたがる世界の研究者の約0.1%にあたる約6,700人が選出されました。
