水路魚道の研究

　水田周辺の水路に設置する魚道の開発を石川県立大学水理学実験棟内の実験水路において行っている。実験水路に設置した魚道隔壁の模型において、水田周辺のメダカ、ドジョウ、トミヨなどの淡水魚類の遡上行動をビデオカメラで撮影し、遡上経路や遡上時の遊泳速度を明らかにし、魚類の遡上に最適な隔壁の形状を検討している。

　また、トミヨ（トゲウオ科の淡水魚、石川県絶滅危惧I類）が生息する池と農業水路の間に設置した潜孔付き全面越流型の試験魚道において、小型定置網を用いた遡上・降下調査と水理環境調査を実施して、魚道の機能検証を行っている。
