研究テーマ　1. 食用/薬用植物由来のセスキテルペン生合成遺伝子の構造と機能解析

（目的）健康に良い各種香り成分を生産する組換え大腸菌のカタログ化
（概要）ショウガ科及びウコギ科植物などの食用/薬用植物より種々のセスキテルペンの生合成酵素遺伝子を単離し、構造と機能の解析を行っている。これらの遺伝子を利用し、種々の有用セスキテルペンを生産する組換え大腸菌を作製している。
